Ivory Soap – Gentle Enough for Everyones Skin in Our Family

Disclosure: This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Ivory. The opinions and text are all mine.

My family of 8, including my son-in-law, all use Ivory products; especially the pure and simple, original Ivory Original 3-bar.

Dad and Daughter Ivory Soap is ivory soap good

Is Ivory Soap Good on Sensitive Skin

We like Ivory sensitive skin soap products because they are gentle on sensitive skin. Ivory products are also made pure with fewer ingredients than other brands.

The pure formula has remained consistent for generations. Founded by Procter & Gamble (P&G), Ivory has been trusted by generations for 138 years. The brand’s intention was to produce a good quality soap at an affordable price point.

P&G made a point that the soap would float in water, including the rivers and streams some outdoors-men were bathing in way back in the day. In fact, it still floats today. This is likely why Ivory soap feels light and soft, plus it really lathers up nice. My kids especially love trying to catch the slippery bar floating on top of bathwater.

is ivory soap the only soap that floats

The floating bar of soap was an instant hit and became one of the most common household and personal cleaning products. For the past 138 years, it has also been referred to as “The Original Gentle Family Brand.” No doubt you can understand why.

Is Ivory Soap the Only Soap that Floats

In our house, it’s pretty simple. I have a large family and we go through plenty of cleansing products. My wife and 4 girls are pretty meticulous about their hygiene and taking care of their softer, more sensitive skin.

My son and I just want to get clean–quickly without smelling like a garden of fresh flowers or a bowl of fruit. We even wash our pup with Ivory knowing it won’t irritate his skin. In addition to Ivory Original 3-bar, the Original Body Wash a pure clean, trusted for generations. It is free of dyes and heavy perfumes.

Jaci washing face

We also like the Ivory Free & Gentle Body Wash with Pear & Sandalwood. It includes the #1 Dermatologist-Recommended moisturizing ingredient. This works great on my daughters’ sensitive skin! As you can see, Ivory soap is perfect for all of us.

It has simple ingredients, smells fresh, lathers up quickly and feels soft. Best of all, it cleans really well. And, of course, it’s affordable. We tend to buy bars of Ivory soap in bulk packages so we never run out. You can imagine how much we go through with a family our size!

Another thing you may not know about Ivory soap, and something we like, is that you can coat the bottom of your cast iron skillets for easy cleanup after a cookout. We have a fire pit we sometimes cook directly on.

Cast Iron Hack – Ivory Soap

Just rub the bottom of your cast iron skillet with Ivory Original 3 bar to coat it then place the pan over the fire to cook proteins or vegetables. A smoke and ash char will adhere to the soap. All you have to do is clean the inside with hot water, so as not to ruin the seasoned pan, then wash the soap and char off the bottom with hot water. It comes off easily! That is my cast iron hack.

Where can you find old-fashioned Ivory Products?

Ivory is an iconic and trusted soap brand stocked in just about every supermarket, drugstore, and big box store. As mentioned before, we buy Ivory in bulk packages. You can find these at a great price in most of the large club or subscription stores or you can also buy Ivory online. It’s a great product to always have on hand.

When is the last time you used Ivory Soap?
