So if you remember when I said I was going to LA for the #StarWarsEvent? Well I wanted to share a few photos from the event, which alos included the Star Wars The Force Awakens Global Press Press Day.

I can tell you location of this super secret event was on the hush… and I mean hush. Our group of 25 bloggers passed thru security screening only to witness one of the best places to be, if you are Star Wars fan.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Global Press Press Day - Stormtroopers

One of my favorite by-products of the Star Wars Saga are the Stormtroopers. To me they are far more appealing than the droids in episodes I,II,and III. These three stood high in the convention space in front of a Imperial banner.

Starting our #StarWarsEvent off right with the droids. #c3po #r2d2 #StarWars

We had a photo opp with 2 of the best droids in the galaxy. Me and BB8 Here is BB-8 and me doing a little exploration, or you could say we were looking for s pot to get away from the TIE Fighters. Bad Robot Star Wars The folks at the Star Wars Press Event were incredible nice to us! We actually designed a Star Wars The Force Awakens t-shirt courteous of Bad Robot. Bad Robot Star Wars   We saw plenty of toys and figurines like this Pop Vinylof Rey that Joeli would love to have.

I know a little girl at my house that’s going to love this Pop Vinyl, Rey from #starwarstheforceawakens #StarWarsEvent #StarWars A photo posted by Colby Shipwash (@doddblog) on Dec 6, 2015 at 4:35pm PST

This little BB-8 is pretty cool, I kind of wished I would have bought a full size BB-8 robot.

Star Wars Global Press Day

About mid-day we attended the Star Wars The Force Awakens press conference, that was hosted by Mindy Kaling.

After are long day of interviews and press conferences, we took a short trip south of LA to Disneyland. To go check out the Season of the Force area.

We made it to #SeasonoftheForce inside Disneyland. #StarWarsEvent

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
