DODD Spon Disclosure

As a Dad, I’m always looking for different opportunities and ways to WOW my kids with their snacks. Lately, I’ve been kind of struggling with my six-year-old. It can be tough to get Joeli to eat a healthy afternoon snack.

Dave's Killer Bread

It seems this day and age as a parent/dad you should always be on your a game and looking for the next thing. You know that perfect Instagram or Pinterest post like snack that is good for your children.

So since I’m not super creative I have decided to go with something simpler but also traditional. I am making a few ROCK STAR PEANUT BUTTER and JELLY sandwiches! So I partnered with Dave’s Killer Bread to add a little Rock-n-Roll flare to my little Rock Star diet. This hardcore white bread (White Bread Done Right) is an artisan loaf with five super grains, 10 grams of whole grains and no artificial anything. With a golden color and perfect texture, White Bread Done Right® makes killer grilled cheese and PB&Js.

Just to step up my Dad game I have challenged myself to make a sandwich with-in the time of my favorite rock-n- roll song, Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’.

With that said what is your favorite rock ‘n’ roll classic song or it may not be rock ‘n’ roll is it pop, country, or classical. How long is that song, is it short or long, can you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or your kids favorite snack in that timeframe? I challenge you but you don’t you to do this.

Please don’t think I am crazy about this, but it worked. Joeli loved chowing down on the little star cut-out sandwiches. With 3 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber, and 10 grams of whole grains I think it was a hit!

Are you familiar with Dave’s Killer Bread? If not please check them out on their Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube.

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
