Save Your Mobile Phone With Asurion

This post was created in partnership with Asurion, but all thoughts are my own.

Just about everyone in our household has a mobile phone, except my four year old. We have grown accustom to calling, text messaging, or FaceTime one another. So to say the least we depend on our devices, which all of them are iPhones or some kind of smartphone.

Recently one of my younger daughters dropped her Windows 8 phone as she was exiting the car.

As you can see she was plenty upset when she reached down to find that her screen was completely cracked. After her apologizing several times for dropping the phone, explained that it was okay. Luckily we had her old phone to back up on which still had a protective case to save her from something like this.

Asurion, (Technology Protection Company) recently conducted a survey that found that parents, on average, replace more than one mobile phone per child each year. With smartphone coasts soaring to upwards of $600, that’s an expensive lesson to learn. With kids back in school, that means more chances for misplaced phones or accidents. Asurion wants to help, they offer a fun range of services to protect mobile phones, to iPads, tablets, and laptops.

5 Tips to Protect Your Mobile Phone

  • Invest in a good cover or case
  • Add a transparent film screen protector
  • Purchase mobile phone insurance when you buy or upgrade
  • Plug the phone charger into a surge protector

I’ve partnered with @TxDOT to remind you that all distractions – whether texting, eating, grooming, having a conversation, etc. – can be dangerous. #ad   That is why my family and I are also taking the AT&T It Can Wait pledge at http://www.ItCanWait.com/ to never drive distracted. As I get older and wiser as a dad of 5, I realize parenting is mostly about preparation. That is why I am proud to partner with @TxDOT on educating my daughters about distracted driving.    As a young guy, I found myself preparing to be a dad, or at least a good dad. Now I find myself preparing my children to be good people and safe drivers on the road. Jaci and I have been going over distracted driving prevention tips and having a little fun with the new web-based AR game – Dart Those Distractions. It helps promote safe driving in a fun way.   Check out the link in my bio to play. #HeadsUpTexas #EndTheStreakTX #ad
