Kidde Worry-Free Hallway Plug in Carbon Monoxide Alarm: Review
Kidde Fire Safety has released its Worry-Free Hallway Plug in Carbon Monoxide Alarm to help keep a home and family safe from the threat of carbon monoxide poisoning. As a #TeamKidde brand ambassador, the brand provided me with this product and I’ve written a review.
Kidde products help to protect your family from the colorless, odorless, and tasteless hazard of carbon monoxide (CO), which can come from fuels burned in vehicles, engines, stoves, lanterns, grills, gas ranges, heaters or furnaces. Carbon monoxide can build up inside a home and poison, sicken and kill humans and animals. Learn more about potential sources of CO here.
Kidde has been producing carbon monoxide alarms longer than anyone, and not only do they supply basic and premium carbon monoxide alarms that meet uniform standards (UL) and provide the right level of protection, but their continued innovation – such as being the first to introduce a CO alarm with a sensor that lasts 10 years – is what gives the company its outstanding reputation. Detecting carbon monoxide is Kidde’s goal, and their Worry-Free Hallway CO Alarm delivers.
The importance of a carbon monoxide alarm for home use is critical, as it is a device that every homeowner needs to safeguard his family’s health and well-being.
Kidde’s Worry-Free Hallway Plug-in CO Alarm model provides detection of carbon monoxide to help protect your home and family. This alarm’s compact size and portability offer easy plug-in installation into any hallway wall outlet.
An LED digital display shows carbon monoxide levels that the unit senses, and it allows for viewing CO level changes, which can be seen in dark conditions and from greater distances. A night light is included, which can be set at ten different levels along with an escape light feature. The escape light brightens in the actual alarm mode phase, which aids in evacuating an area in dark conditions or when the electricity is down.
Adjustment for the night light is made through the peak level button or turned off altogether if required. An ambient light sensor spontaneously turns the night light on or off depending on available light conditions and an AC power connection. The display brightens in more lighted environments and lowers for a softer look at night. When removed from the AC power source, the display is disengaged and battery life is conserved.
The Worry-Free alarm has a 10-year sealed lithium battery that provides power-outage protection, restricts unauthorized battery removal and does away with battery replacement.
Kidde’s Worry-Free Hallway alarm has a 10-year operational life that is 40 percent longer than many other plug-in type carbon monoxide alarms. Included with the alarm are a 10-year limited warranty, a listing by UL (Underwriters Laboratories) to the UL2034 Standard, and a user guide that specifies everything required for the safe and simple operation of the Worry-Free Hallway alarm.
Let Kidde ease your mind and provide protection for you and your family against this deadly gas. This alarm is available on Kidde’s website for more information.
