Kia Motors unveiled five new customized autonomous vehicles at the SEMA show 2016. They envisioned a future where cars will be driven without a driver and will be tailor made to match our lifestyle. Also making its Specialty Equipment Market Association debut is the Telluride hybrid SUV which eschews everything we ask for in our vehicular needs.
School of Rock Sedona
The Kia Sedona gig van was born from a creative session with the School of Rock and all the concerned parties. The vehicle features everything musicians crave for like an entirely hands-free way of transporting the band to the next gig, a place to chill and a studio. The most significant changes made to the Sedona include removal of the steering assembly, gear selector and the driver pillar which gave more room for two flat-screens to record tracks and a digital mixing board.
The Sedona is also capable of hosting a roadside show by the help of stacks of amplifiers. The vehicle also holds storage for bass guitars and other instruments on the roof rack. The School of Rock icon is hand painted.
This vehicle provides a cabin that is designed to recharge and relax while also providing top-notch safety and training equipment. The 2017 Kia Niro hybrid is now a cross country lifestyle vehicle. Its features include a small bed, tablet computer mount, bike rack, and tool box which is visible upon removal of the roof from the D-pillars.
The doors hinges are in such a way that allows them to open a full 90 degrees. If the athlete doesn’t feel like driving, he can retire to an ultra-comfortable zero gravity ergonomic reclining chair. Niro Triathlon also has cabinets that can hold essential attire, parts, and even a portable shower.
Sorento Ski Gondola
This vehicle is all about climbing in comfort, style, and warmth to higher ground. The most outstanding features of this car are its rubber tracks that are powdered thus making it a go-anywhere machine. The custom made roof rack makes ample room for storage for poles and skis while the cargo area offers more space for bags, boots and other kinds of gear.
The Sorento Ski Gondola also has LED light bars which increase visibility in any conditions. The interior houses a customized tablet, orange and black leather seats, and a waterproof line-X treatment that protects against snow and ice which may find its way inside the cabin.
Telluride’s front doors and back doors open 90 degrees to create an inviting panoramic interior. The cabin hosts four captain’s seats which are made from leather and appear to be floating within the cabin. All four car seats have smart sensors which capture the passenger’s health information.
Once this information is on the car’s system, it safely displays itself on the door panel screens. If the passenger is suffering from jetlag or loss of energy, it can be treated just by taking a sit on the Telluride.
Kia Soul First Class
It’s like a city chariot that offers its travelers time to work as they travel on business trips. This self-driven vehicle is all about bringing together rest and work amid the hectic professional settings. The Soul First Class has an improved front dashboard which houses two front seats facing behind, Surround premium audio speakers, and a forty inch Samsung screen which is connected to a Mac mini computer system.
The vehicle is also run and controlled by two customized tablets. To match the car’s elegance, its fitted with gray and white leather which has diamond stitching throughout the cabin. The floor is made of gray wood to match the seats.
