What better way to spend a warm summer Friday evening with the family than at a baseball game? That’s what we did on August 4th. Our local Frisco RoughRiders took on the Corpus Christi Hooks. Unfortunately, our hometown team lost by one run.

Despite the disappointing loss, we still had a great time. There were fireworks after the game that we all enjoyed. And, we got to have some Mayfield Creamery ice cream to take the sting out of the close game. The kids especially liked the ice cream.

Mayfield Creamery ice cream has stepped up to bat as the official ice cream of the Frisco RoughRiders minor league baseball team. As part of this partnership, Mayfield Creamery ice cream is available throughout Dr. Pepper Ballpark, including at a dedicated, branded Corner Ice Cream Parlor located behind section 121.

The Parlor offers 8 varieties of the iconic ice cream, including Smoky Mountain Fudge and the Signature Vanilla. The Corner is outfitted with umbrellas and rocking chairs for everyone to relax and enjoy their ice cream from this beloved southern family favorite.

You could be a kid for as long as you want when you play baseball. – Cal Ripken, Jr.

Mayfield Creamery ice cream is a brand we trust, having been an established 3 generation business since 1923. The ice cream is made from real fresh cream that comes from the company’s own dairy. The cows are never given any artificial growth hormones. That is important for our growing family.

Since we all have different tastes, we are happy to see some new flavors in the Creamery’s lineup, such as Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake, Candy Jar Crunch, and Peppermint Stick. And, the Chipper ice cream sandwiches are always a favorite with the little kids.

When the RoughRiders are away, we can always stock up on Mayfield Creamery ice cream from Tom Thumb, Albertsons, Market Street stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
