Chevy is a well-known American car brand. They have been around for a long time, and they have several inexpensive models that can last for decades if you treat them well.
If you’re looking for a Chevy dealer, Salt Lake City, Utah, is one place where you’ll find several of them. Before you figure out which Chevy model will work best for you, though, you might want to hear about the ones that are the most fuel-efficient.
We’ll discuss a few of the better options in the following article.
The Equinox
The Chevy Equinox is one model that you might see on the road pretty often. It’s also one of the most fuel efficient, so you will want to take a hard look at this one if you are in the market.
The Equinox is an SUV, so if you have a large family or you’re often hauling groceries and other cargo around, this may be a top pick. It has a 1.5 L turbo engine, which should give you enough power to speed you through any traffic patterns you encounter in your daily commute.
The Equinox gets about 26 miles per gallon in the city, and you can enjoy 31 miles per gallon on the highway with it. That’s respectable for an SUV.
The Trailblazer
Maybe you prefer something a little more rugged. The Trailblazer combines comfort and power with a better-than-average fuel efficiency for its size.
The Trailblazer is also considered an SUV, but it belongs to the sub-compact category. It has a 1.3 L turbo engine, and it gets about 29 miles per gallon if you stick to city streets. Out on the highway, it gets 33 miles per gallon. That should save you some money on those long road trips to visit family.
The Malibu
The Chevy company sells many Malibus to families that want a mid-size sedan that’s not too flashy. Still, this one has the comfort and dependability that’s synonymous with the Chevrolet name. The Malibu is a great first car for your teenage driver if you can find a gently used one.
You get a 1.5 L turbocharged engine with this one, and Electric Power Steering is another one of the better features that come standard. You will get 29 miles per gallon in the city with this model. If you take it out on the highway, you can get as many as 36 miles per gallon on average.
What About Electric Vehicles?
If you’re set on getting an electric vehicle, Chevy does offer one that is gaining popularity these days. That is the Bolt EV. You can get up to a 259-mile driving range on a single charge.
You’ll have to think about whether you’re ready to go electric yet. If you’re not, getting one of these Chevy models we mentioned with better-than-average in-class fuel efficiency might make sense for you. You’ll be in good company with the Chevy brand as you see their vehicles all over the road.
