DODD Spon Disclosure

Do you remember the time when you fell in love with your favorite hobby or passion? For some, you could be a music aficionado, sports fanatics, foodies, auto junkies, craft beer enthusiasts or collector. For me, I’m an auto fanatic! I love anything with a motor and wheels attached to it. I should clarify that I’m no gear head, but a lover how an automobile can tell a story in the way it is parked or drives. After visiting showrooms, factories, car shows and auto rallies I feel I am a ” DieHard Auto Fan “.

Richard Petty School

What is Your From the Start Story

One of my most recent adventures took me to Charlotte Motor Speedway to drive a Richard Petty Nascar. As I was taking my 10 laps at 140 mph around the speedway I realized I love cars more than I thought. How DieHard are you about your passion? Sears is hosting events around the country at spots that generate passionate interest like the X Games in Austin the weekend of June 3rd.

Texas Dream Cruise

DieHard, America’s most trusted auto battery brand, is on the hunt to find the country’s biggest, most passionate diehard fans across numerous categories through its “From the Start” contest. From now through December 11, the DieHard brand will celebrate the craze and fandom of diehards by inviting them to submit the story of how they first became fanatics for a chance to win their very own custom diehard fan experience.

Texas Dream Cruise

Each submission will give the fan a chance to win their very own custom diehard fan experience. The contest is open to fans from all walks of life, including music aficionados, sports fanatics, foodies, auto junkies, craft beer enthusiasts and collectors. You simply need to have the eagerness to win and the determination to share your story. In fact, let me put a bit of motivation behind your submission!

The In and Outs of Tire Care #SACRoadWarriors

Once you share your story and upload a photo with DieHard, come back here and enter to win a $500 DieHard gift card. Simply share a bit of your story — your “from the start” moment — with me and you could win. Entering is easy through the form below. Giveaway ends at 11:59pm on June 19th. Open to US residents only.

My hubby is a super fanatic of classical cars, he told me that his dad use to have 4-5 cars in his garage, they were all classics and he would help his dad fix them up! So classic cars bring back great memories of times with his dad in the garage fixing up classic cars!

I remember wanting to be a mechanic and being able to repair my own cars without help. I now can do all my repairs myself and am going to build a drag car to leave to my grandchildren.

I had cooked for myself a lot of my life, but not a lot for others! I also didn’t do anything fancy, even experiment or try a lot of different spices…but over the past 10 yrs have definitely gotten into cooking much more! I’ve looked up new things/recipes online and made them…and I use a ton of spices now. One thing I enjoy doing is picking up some new vegetable or fruit I’ve never used/tried before and come home and look up how to cook it or make some dish with it for variety! I have definitely grown in the kitchen and now instead of waiting for mama to make something I really like or go out to eat…I just make it myself!

One of my favorite things to do is garden. I enjoy veggies but I really love flowers and my latest joy is my backyard orchard. I fell in love with the idea while doing some research online and I had to give it a try. I was a bit afraid at first when I began pruning the trees and learning how to spray but keeping as organic as I can but I am learning and loving it. One day I hope to have a wonderful orchard my grand kids will enjoy.

When I was in junior High school, we needed to take photos for a school project, I kept trying and the photos i was taking just wasn’t coming out how I wanted them to, so I kept at it, and in those days we still used rolls of film so my parents did get a little annoyed with having to develop so many photos just for me to find the perfect one, this led me to my love of photography. I took classes for it in high school, learned how to develop film, ended up working in a photo shop for a while, and now I am always out taking photograph’s. Have even done some photo shoots for extra cash. I don’t do it a lot though because for me, its not about the money, its the love of photography and beauty that can come from it.

My love of gardening is my from the start passion!! I spend my of my time as a child in the garden with my grandma and I always loved it and it still brings back wonderful memories!! When I became an adult my husband and I decided to plant our own garden and I have completely fallen in love with it again!! I love passing on my passion to my children and teaching them how to grow their own food! We then started canning the food that we’ve grown 3 years ago!! I had always watched my grandma can vegetables but I had never tried it on my own, but I now I have a passion for that too!! There is nothing better than opening up a jar of green beans in January that came from my garden!! That’s my story of my story of from the start!!

I entered the contest with the following Die hard story – I was diagnosed with high blood pressure largely due to my high stress job. I needed to start doing something to relax me a little bit. I tried Golfing but all that did was change my frustration to a different subject. I found Fishing. I can fish for hours and think about nothing but the fish and the beauty of nature. I don’t like killing anything so I catch and release all fish i catch. I wish I would have discovered fishing earlier in life #FromtheStart

I have three brothers and all of us read comic books growing up. I was the only one who did not outgrow them. I love reading comics and it is so great to finally see these 20-30 year old storyline come to the big screen in a way that really justifies the comic versions. I love reading and collecting comics. The superhero (MARVEL and DC) are my favorite genre. Thanks for the opportunity.

My dad introduced me to Craftsman tools and Die Hard batteries. Ever since then, I will not use anything else. When I grab my tools and use them, It makes me feel like I am 7 years old helping my dad change a starter or alternator. Him teaching me which way the bolt turns to loosen and the smell of the grease. I get that feeling in my stomach remembering the joys. Those are the memories that I want to create for my children.
