Take a Break with a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake

It’s that time of year again when I look forward to a minty McDonald’s Shamrock Shake. The shakes are available from February 7th through March 21st. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are five seasonal drinks being offered this year. They have dubbed this the McCafe Shamrock Chocolate Madness Weeks.

McDonald's Shamrock Shake

Here’s the lineup of all the drinks available, and I am trying them all:

  • Original McDonald’s Shamrock Shake
  • Chocolate Shamrock Shake
  • Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe
  • Shamrock Hot Chocolate
  • Shamrock Mocha

What is so great about the new offerings is that there is chocolaty flavor, and that chocolate makes me smile. And, there are two hot drinks, great for cooler winter days. We like to gather outside around the fire pit on cool winter days, so the Shamrock Hot Chocolate might be a family favorite for this.

Of course, on St. Patrick’s Day it will have to be the minty Shamrock Shake at McDonald’s, maybe the chocolaty version. It is pretty cool that chocolate flavor and mint are combined into one shake this year.

Through their app, McDonald’s is offering a buy five get one free offer. You can visit McDonald’s five times while the new hot and cold drinks are available and get a sixth one free the next time you go. Don’t forget to use the app. I have tried all five and am pretty sure the Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe won over my heart and taste buds. I mean, who doesn’t like mint with chocolaty chips? It reminds me of having mint chocolate chip ice cream as a kid.

I urge everyone to give the seasonal McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes and hot drinks a try during these few weeks at McDonald’s. As a bonus, if you get a Shamrock Chocolate Madness drink during the week of March 11th through March 17th, you will be giving back to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC). For every Shamrock Chocolate Madness drink purchased, McDonald’s will donate 25 cents to RMHC. You get a great drink, and some kids and families in need benefit. It is a win/win.

Our girls have continued to homeschool through school closures, just as we’ve done for over a decade.

Online classes for many though have been an adjustment, and they can really slow down a home network with multiple devices.

Luckily #Verizon offers fast, reliable 5G internet in the #Dallas area!
