Fall football season is just gearing up, and this guy is excited for the games, the camaraderie, and the foods I allow myself to indulge in. One of my favorite game time recipes is my Super Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip. It is rich, creamy, and spicy. I serve it with corn chips.
So, you probably know where this is going. I can’t help myself. I just love serving and eating game-time comfort food that probably isn’t my best friend later in the night or the next day. I am talking about the heartburn that sneaks up on me.
I have suffered from heartburn, especially when I am not careful and eat a lot of dairy, spices, and chips. I get that burning sensation in my upper abdomen followed by some unpleasant burping. Omeprazole ODT is the only dissolving tablet of its kind on the market. The medicine works through a technology called MELTech. This over-the-counter medicine is available in my pharmacy’s store brand and treats the same symptoms as Prilosec OTC, but at a lower cost. All I need is one dose daily for 14 days to get 24-hour relief. Omeprazole ODT is not intended for immediate relief and may take 1-4 days to feel the full effect. You shouldn’t take this medicine for more than 14 days unless directed by your doctor.
