Disclosure: I am a part of the #CapriSunCrew and have a paid position with Capri Sun. Regardless, all opinions and experiences are 100% my own.

With warmer days hot on our heels, we are gearing up for a busy Summer of travels. Do you find your family travelling more during the Summer, maybe because the kids are out of school? Or, you scored a great deal on your favorite travel site? Lately we find ourselves taking plenty of trips here and there, especially with our kids. Later this year we are planning to take a few trips with some friends and families. For instance, I we are headed to Galveston Island to take a Cruise in a few weeks. This one week adventure kind of kicks off our Summer activities.

Hit the Open Road with the Family

We are a family that doesn’t mind piling in  the car, truck, or van to head out on vacation. We find it relaxing. We love playing games, listening to music, or just talking to one another. We also, love stopping off at road side picnics or scenic pull outs to enjoy a pre-made lunch. It is good to get out and stretch the legs while grabbing a cold drink like a Capri Sun. The kids love Capri Sun juice drinks when we are on the road, they are quick and easy to drink. After lunch, or our break, we load up and keep “truckin’” down the road. One road trip we are looking forward to later this year is a trip New York City. What is your favorite road trip?

Like I mentioned above, the mission of the #CapriSunCrew is to be ambassadors for Capri Sun and help educate parents about Capri Sun products.
Capri Sun juice drinks have been a staple in American households for years, especially in the summer months. This summer, I’m joining the #CapriSunCrew and will be sharing my family’s experience with Capri Sun over the next few months.

Enjoy Capri Sun on the Boat

Like I mentioned above, we are setting sail in a few weeks for a Western Caribbean cruise. This will be the second full length cruise we have taken with the kids. We are all pretty excited about our voyage, we have a fun itinerary set and it should be great. This time around, Staci and I have thought about a few things we want to do different. One of those is offering the kids an option to drink something other than soda, or water. This go around we will be bringing along a couple packs of Capri Sun. Their favorite is Roarin’ Waters Flavored Water Beverage in Fruit Punch and the Original Capri Sun Juice Drink. This way while we are either pool side or on an excursion we can still enjoy a beverage that is familiar to us.

What is New For Capri Sun

Like I mentioned above, the mission of the #CapriSunCrew is to be ambassadors for Capri Sun and help educate parents about Capri Sun products.

Improved Packaging and No HFCS

I am proud to join the Capri Sun brand as they go through these changes:

Product Renovation:

  • Replacing HFCS with sugar in its original line of Capri Sun Juice Drink. They now have 35% less sugar than other leading juice drinks.*
    • *This product 13g sugars; leading regular juice drinks 22g sugars per 6 fl oz serving.
  • Replacing sucralose with stevia left extract and HFCS with sugar in its Roarin’ Waters Flavored Water Beverages.
  • Taking more than 25 billion calories out of the marketplace annually.

Design Identity:

  • Improving packaging at-shelf with a new design identity designed to reinforce our message and equity credentials with improved quality and trust.

Communication:

  • Launching a new communication platform – Push Play– in which Capri Sun is the catalyst for fun, active and creative “play.”

Overall I was happy with the trip and learned so much about Kraft and Capri Sun, which makes me proud to partner with them.

What is your favorite Kraft product? Or how about your favorite Capri Sun flavor? Mine is Fruit Punch!

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
