Memorial Day is the start of summer for our family. This year we plan to fire up our new Char-Broil Gas Grill and have a backyard party. Since we are in Texas, I usually do it big. I am going to grill some burgers for the kids. The adults will be getting steaks. I’ll round out the meal with fresh grilled corn, barbecue style beans, and a cabbage slaw.
I am pretty psyched to try the Commercial™ 4-burner grill with the TRU-Infrared system for no flare ups and even heat. The double grates, upper and lower, will allow me to grill the proteins on the bottom while keeping the grilled corn warm on the top. I’ll also use the separate side burner for heating the pot of beans. Other than the slaw, that will be prepared ahead of time, all of my cooking will be done on the Char-Broil Gas Grill.
Char-Broil Tru-Infrared Grill Features
The highlights of this particular Char-Broil Gas Grill include:
- TRU-Infrared™ cooking system
- Lid-mounted temperature gauge
- Dual Fuel® enabled
- Surefire® electronic igniter
- Top-ported burner
- Porcelain coated grates
- Warming rack
- Side burner
The TRU-Infrared™ technology yields 50% juicier food without the chance of charring it with flame flare ups.
The temperature gauge will take the guesswork out of when the grill is pre-heated and ready to use. It will also help me to monitor the inside temperature of the grill the whole time.
With the dual fuel capability I have the option of running the grill from a propane tank or hooking it up to the natural gas line. The fuel tank gauge is a plus so I know when I am running low on fuel.
An electronic igniter at each burner will allow me to light all the burners just by pushing a button. I won’t have to mess around with a lighter or matches.
What We Love About Memorial Day Entertaining
As a family we are huge fans of spending time outdoors together as much as possible. Memorial Day weekend is great because the weather isn’t so hot yet that we are running inside for the AC. We can invite friends over and relax by doing all of our cooking outside while being able to socialize. The kids can run around or hang with their friends.
Entertaining is fairly easy with a gas grill like the Char-Broil, especially with the side burner. That is a feature that won’t sit idle. I am even thinking I might grill some fruit for dessert and heat up some chocolate on the burner that we can all dip the fruit into. It’s looking like I won’t have to be inside at all this Memorial Day. I’ll be able to spend more time with family friends while kicking off the summer.
