Steakhouse Elite, an American-Kobe style beef company, offers the perfect tailgate chili that requires very few ingredients and can be easily prepared on the day of the event.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. package of Steakhouse Elite ground beef
  • 1 medium sweet onion
  • 2 15.5oz can of Cannellini beans- drained
  • 1 15.5oz can of sloppy joe sauce
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 1 12 oz. beer (recommend a IPA)
  • 1 lb. Shredded cheese

Steakhouse Elite

Cooking Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in pot or pan. Don’t worry about draining away the flavor. You’re going to want that.
  2. Combine all the other ingredients except cheese with ground beef and simmer on stove top for 45 minutes or allow 4-5 hours in the crock pot at low temp.
  3. Top with shredded cheese

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
