Create the Perfect Holiday Dinner Using Your Air Fryer

Christmas is almost here, which means you may be planning a decadent holiday feast for your family and friends. If you want to make sure the meal is healthier this year, you can prepare the main courses and side dishes with an air fryer.

An air fryer allows you to cook foods and even give them a delightfully crispy texture without frying them. You can also prepare meats and vegetables in the air fryer without adding oil or butter. This review of the Blackstone Air Fryer Griddle Combo can provide more information on the type of air fryer that is best for your holiday meal. Here are a few ideas you can try this holiday season.

Prepare an Appetizer

Start the meal with a tasty appetizer that will make your guests excited about dinner. Bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers and stuffed peppers are festive appetizers that are packed with flavor and nutrients. Cooking these foods in your air fryer reduces the fat content but the appetizers are just as flavorful.

Add Vegetable Side Dishes

No holiday meal is complete without a few vegetable side dishes. You can prepare fresh corn on the cob with butter, salt and herbs, or add corn, broccoli and zucchini to a foil pack and cook the vegetables with your favorite seasonings. Or, marinate carrots with honey, butter sea salt, cinnamon and brown sugar for a sweet holiday side dish.

Select Your Meat Entree

Whether you’re in the mood for turkey, chicken or steak, you can prepare the main course for your holiday meal in the air fryer. Marinate your meat at least a few hours ahead of time (overnight is best) and place the meat in an oven safe dish. You can prepare a whole chicken rotisserie style, turkey breasts or wings with homemade barbecue sauce, or flank steak with butter and fresh herbs. Choose your entree based on your family’s preferences and the number of people you’re feeding.

Don’t Forget Dessert

You can even use your air fryer to prepare dessert for your holiday dinner. Mix batter for brownies or a pound cake, and pour the batter into a pan before placing it in the air fryer to bake in a matter of minutes. You can also make baked apples or pears in the air fryer for a flavorful dessert that is low in carbs.

These healthy and delicious holiday meal recipes are sure to make your get-together even more enjoyable. When you enjoy a guilt-free Christmas dinner with your loved ones, you’ll have more energy for opening gifts, decorating the tree, or spending quality time with the people you love the most.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
