Disclosure: Thanks to Arrow Fastener for the new staple guns, I was able to get inspired to make this craft. All opinions are my own.
This holiday season we are going to spotlight a new mantel piece with a new advent calendar. I got the idea from Pinterest, where I find most of my crafty ideas.
Holiday Advent Calendar Frame
First off I found a frame that I like at my local craft store, along with some twine, mini cloths pins and numbered circles (25). I was pretty excited about everything I found, along with being able to use my new Arrow Fastener Stapler. I know growing up my Grandpa would use a manual stapler to handle projects around the house. So it only felt right to share the making of our Holiday Advent Calendar Frame with my girls.
The frame we chose was originally black, so the first thing we did was paint it white. I have seen some frames like this painted silver, but I felt white would look best on our mantel. After the paint dried I stapled the twine to the back of the frame, starting at the top left of the frame. I made four equal pass on the frame, then stapled the twine to the back of the frame.
After that, the project was pretty easy to finish up with placing the mini clothespins and numbered circles.
Looks great!
