It also has a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Equinox delivers 26 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. That’s not quite as good as the Trailblazer, but it’s still respectable. You also get 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space, so you can load up this behemoth with all kinds of goodies if you’re going shopping or on a cross-country trip.
Which is the Better Option for You?
The Equinox will have you paying a little more than you would for the Trailblazer, but you might find the extra money to be worth it. You’re sacrificing a little bit of efficiency with fewer miles per gallon, but it’s not a huge difference. The extra cargo space and the many trim options might be what convinces you to shell out the extra cash for the Equinox.
On the other hand, if money is your biggest concern, then the lower price point coupled with the extra fuel efficiency may sway you in the direction of the Trailblazer. Either way, you can’t go wrong with these two picks. They’ve both got it where it counts in the safety and reliability departments.
