As you can see, I am on a roll with trying out different family cars and some that might be a good fit for my soon-to-be-driving teenage daughters. My biggest concern is safety, so lets see how the 2018 Mitsubishi outlander stacks up.

For me, I am looking for some personal touches, like an awesome sound system. I am old school when it comes to driving with music, but the kids like it just as much as I do.
We recently drove a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander GT SUV. It had all the wow factors that this guy likes: Room for all of us, a perfectly designed dashboard, great mileage, a smooth ride, and of course a radical audio system.
The Attractive Basics
The GT has a smartly styled exterior with modern curves, LED lights, chrome and black accents, and 18” alloy wheels that allow it to sit slightly lower to the ground than other SUVs. The interior is comfortable with room for 7. The seats fold down in various split configurations for more cargo space. And, the dashboard is lit up and easy to navigate for either myself or a front row passenger.
2018 Mitsubishi Outlander – Sight and Sound
I do love great audio in my car when I am driving alone and jamming to my favorite rock. This car has a Rockford Fosgate sound system that you can actually feel when the volume is amped up.
The best part is that the girls love to sing out loud when we crank up their favorite tunes. They may not be my favorite tunes, but they totally suck me in and we all sing. Yes, we are that family that drives around with the windows open and the stereo blasting (on occasion).
