Do you like things hot and spicy? I tend to go for the spicy foods when I can. That may be why I enjoy being married to a Latina.

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

Grilling season has begun here and that means an opportunity to cook anything and everything outside on the grill. This past weekend we decide to give some Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers a try… and the turned out to be pretty tasty! I may have left a few too many seeds in one of the poppers I ate, but it was still delicious nonetheless. Plus, they are a cinch to make!

Ingredients:

  • Jalapeño peppers
  • Cream Cheese
  • Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • Bacon

Directions:

  1. Slice each jalapeno pepper in half and remove the membranes. (Leave a few seeds if you want them to be spicier).
  2. Mix cream cheese and shredded cheese in a bowl.
  3. Fill each slice of pepper with cream cheese mixture.
  4. Wrap each pepper with a slice of bacon. Cut and size bacon accordingly.
  5. Secure each bacon wrapped jalapeno popper with a toothpick to hold them together.
  6. Cook on grill until bacon is completely cooked.

Serve them hot and enjoy!

What is your favorite spicy grilled food?

Oh My Gosh– I can only eat one of the poppers occasionally but I know that these would be a big hit witht he rest of my family ,and there wouldn’t be any left– the bacon wrapped around it would make them so much better. Thanks for a great idea 🙂

As I get older and wiser as a dad of 5, I realize parenting is mostly about preparation. That is why I am proud to partner with @TxDOT on educating my daughters about distracted driving.    As a young guy, I found myself preparing to be a dad, or at least a good dad. Now I find myself preparing my children to be good people and safe drivers on the road. Jaci and I have been going over distracted driving prevention tips and having a little fun with the new web-based AR game – Dart Those Distractions. It helps promote safe driving in a fun way.   Check out the link in my bio to play. #HeadsUpTexas #EndTheStreakTX #ad
