Auto Disclosure

The newest versions of the Camry really pack on advanced technology and take the car to the next level with various connectivity and safety features at the tips of your fingers. Let’s take a look at what the 2018 Toyota Camry comes equipped with.

2018 Toyota Camry Stay Connected and Safe

2018 Toyota Camry

Toyota’s Safety Sense offers forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, and lane-departure alert with steering assist. These are standard on all 2018 Camry models. The XLE and XSE models also have blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alerts, and intelligent clearance sonar.

Toyota’s new connected framework is built with Entune™ 3.0 featuring new innovations in connectivity. The DCM keeps you connected to the internet, via a service provider, to maintain a connection with the Toyota Smart Center. The Smart Center provides updates for maps and route navigation. The Safety Connect feature is designed to connect to a live operator who can assist with navigation or an emergency situation.

The DCM Entune™3.0 monitors vehicle conditions and statistics for remote diagnostic updates on fuel levels, mileage, and maintenance reminders. A diagnostic report can be sent to you and your local Toyota dealership through Safety Connect. This is controlled using a Smartphone app.

The revamped Voice Recognition software system has been optimized to better understand commands and inquiries. It utilizes Toyota’s server databases to better assist the user by accessing previous requests within the server. Using your Smartphone, connected via Bluetooth (iOS or Android), you can access your Smartphone assistant with the telephone switch on the steering wheel.

The Audio Plus with JBL® and Clari-Fi or the Entune™3.0 Premium Audio with JBL® and Clari-Fi packages are significant upgrades from sound systems in earlier models. You can really jam out with a power amplifier and nine-speaker system allowing passengers to enjoy a high fidelity, studio-like experience. JBL’s Clari-Fi software scans compressed media-such as MP3s, YouTube, and streaming media.

I am pretty impressed with the 2018 Camry lineup. The styling of the exterior of the car looks a bit sportier than earlier versions. And, the connectivity and sound system are impressive. These features bring the Camry more in line with trending design and technology.

What do you look for in a new vehicle? Space, Technology, Safety, Affordability?

I’ve partnered with @TxDOT to remind you that all distractions – whether texting, eating, grooming, having a conversation, etc. – can be dangerous. #ad   That is why my family and I are also taking the AT&T It Can Wait pledge at http://www.ItCanWait.com/ to never drive distracted. As I get older and wiser as a dad of 5, I realize parenting is mostly about preparation. That is why I am proud to partner with @TxDOT on educating my daughters about distracted driving.    As a young guy, I found myself preparing to be a dad, or at least a good dad. Now I find myself preparing my children to be good people and safe drivers on the road. Jaci and I have been going over distracted driving prevention tips and having a little fun with the new web-based AR game – Dart Those Distractions. It helps promote safe driving in a fun way.   Check out the link in my bio to play. #HeadsUpTexas #EndTheStreakTX #ad
