Here are my Top 10 must-see TV and streaming shows of 2025. These are the series you won’t want to miss! And while you’re keeping up with the latest in entertainment, don’t forget to check out Regular betting news and tips for insights on the biggest games and betting opportunities of the year.

Severance

Apple TV+’s Severance was one of the top-reviewed shows of 2022. Its first season launched in 2022, and it earned that praise for a good reason.

What makes Severance stand out?

  • A mind-bending psychological drama with a unique concept
  • A stellar cast, including Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, and Christopher Walken
  • Striking production design and cinematography

Delays, reshoots, and budget issues can’t stop my excitement for Severance Season 2. I’m looking forward to its January debut!

The Last of Us

The Last of Us Season 1 is regarded as one of the first great video game adaptations. Many critics even called the HBO show’s third episode one of the best TV moments of 2023. So, as you’d expect, many folks are eager for the return of Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Bella Ramsey’s Ellie in Season 2.

Will Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann capture lightning in a bottle again? This time, they are using more polarizing source material, The Last of Us Part II. We’ll have to tune in to find out!

Daredevil: Born Again

The Daredevil series on Disney+ has had a bumpy path to release since Marvel Studios announced it in 2022. Initially, the show wasn’t supposed to be a sequel to Netflix’s Daredevil, even though:

  • Charlie Cox returned as Matt Murdock/Daredevil
  • Vincent D’Onofrio reprised his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin

However, after a major behind-the-scenes reshuffle, Daredevil: Born Again became a direct continuation of the Netflix version. All this real-life drama could spell trouble for the series, but I’m staying hopeful that Season 1 will deliver.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

HBO revived the Game of Thrones franchise with House of the Dragon. Now, they’re expanding Westeros once more with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Based on George R. R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, the series follows:

  • Ser Duncan the Tall (played by Peter Claffey), a brave but humble knight
  • Prince Aegon Targaryen (played by Dexter Sol Ansell), his young and unlikely squire

Unlike past Game of Thrones series, this show focuses more on the smallfolk rather than the noble elite, offering a fresh perspective on Westeros.

Invincible

A big complaint among Invincible fans was that Season 2 took a long mid-season break. While that helped avoid production crunch, it also tested viewers’ patience. The good news? Season 3 won’t have the same stop/start schedule and is set to premiere in February!

With Mark Grayson’s battle against General Kregg and the Viltrumites approaching, this season is bound to be a wild ride!

The White Lotus

Mike White’s comedy-drama anthology series returns for a third season, bringing us more luxury resort chaos—this time in Thailand. The show boasts another impressive cast, including:

  • Leslie Bibb
  • Carrie Coon
  • Walton Goggins
  • Jason Isaacs
  • Michelle Monaghan
  • Parker Posey
  • Scott Glenn
  • Aimee Lou Wood

With fresh faces and a new setting, this season has all the makings of another addictive White Lotus installment. If the series shakes up its usual “mystery corpse” formula, it could be something really special.

Stranger Things

If you liked Stranger Things Season 4, great! If not, you’re probably still eager for the show’s fifth and final season. The epic battle between Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Vecna’s Upside Down forces is coming to a head, and fans won’t want to miss it.

Let’s just hope the Duffer Brothers keep the final episodes under an hour this time!

The Bear

Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo took big swings with The Bear Season 3, from a more experimental pacing to giving Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) his most frustrating arc yet. While it divided some fans, the show’s quality is undeniable.

Even when The Bear gets self-indulgent, it remains one of the best-crafted shows on TV today. Season 4 should be no exception!

Andor

With Star Wars playing it safe in recent years, Andor feels like a breath of fresh air. Tony Gilroy’s Disney+ series takes a darker, more nuanced approach, focusing on the overlooked players of the Galactic Civil War.

Why does Andor stand out?

  • A mature, grounded take on the Star Wars universe
  • Complex political and moral themes
  • Emotional payoffs that feel earned

If you haven’t watched Season 1’s finale yet, prepare to be moved. Now, bring on Andor Season 2!

Squid Game

Squid Game Season 2 had a tough challenge—could it follow up the perfectly wrapped-up first season? The answer is a resounding yes.

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator, ensured Season 2 is as exciting as the first. He balanced tough survival challenges with strong character moments. Even better? Season 3 was filmed at the same time, so we won’t have to wait long for the next chapter!

Conclusion

In 2025, TV and streaming services continue to push storytelling to new heights. Whether you’re looking for:

  • High-stakes thrillers (Severance, Squid Game, Andor)
  • Exciting franchise expansions (The Last of Us, Stranger Things, Daredevil)
  • Unique character-driven dramas (The Bear, The White Lotus)

There’s something for everyone. The biggest challenge? Finding the time to watch them all!

2025 will be an exciting year for TV fans. Many highly anticipated shows are coming our way. Whether you’re into epic fantasy, intense drama, or mind-bending sci-fi, this year’s lineup has something to keep you hooked. Grab your popcorn, clear your schedule, and prepare for an amazing year of stories!
