While relaxing in a closed-off resort is the perfect idea for a vacation for some, many people want to spend their time exploring the world and everything that it has to offer.
If you are planning on getting outdoors and heading on an adventure vacation this year, here is some inspiration.
Cycling
Heading out on two wheels can be a great way to get off the beaten path and bond with your family in the great outdoors. Regardless of what country you want to visit, you are sure to find cycling tours to suit your needs. From vineyard hopping in Italy to an expedition in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco or even cycling along beaches, temples and jungles in Vietnam – the choice is yours!
Cycling is a brilliant way to exercise but for those wanting something a little more leisurely, you will be able to find e-bike tours which decrease the difficulty of your trip. This is a great idea if you are wanting to embark on a longer cycling vacation but are concerned about the physical aspect of it or are traveling with kids.
Skiing
Skiing is a fun way to spend your vacation, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran of the slopes, [MS1] and gives you the opportunity to get that rush of adrenaline that you have been craving.
Not only do skiing vacations allow you to reconnect with nature and get active, but there are also plenty of opportunities to relax. One of the best parts of a skiing trip is après-ski when you can unwind in slope-side bars or soak in a spa. Many ski resorts were popular spa towns before ski lifts were built so in Austria and Canada you will find plenty of well-known spots for kicking back in their historic thermal springs.
You can also travel across the world to ski and you will find opportunities in Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. If you want to stay a little closer to home, there are a multitude of places to ski in the US and Canada including Lake Tahoe, Aspen, Park City and the Sun Peaks.
Camping
Camping is whatever you make it so you are guaranteed to find something to suit your requirements. You could look to head overseas for your camping break or plan a road trip here in the US and take a week or two (or more!) traveling in your car or RV.
For families, camping is a brilliant way to get some fresh air and break away from the daily routine while spending quality time together without interruptions. Be sure to pack plenty of games and a pack of cards to keep yourselves entertained without the presence of a phone or computer and reconnect with each other.
Wherever you choose to go camping you will find a range of opportunities to get active and have an adventure. You could stop off and go go-karting or find a complex to watch a movie and go bowling or just have your own adventure out in the wilderness!
