Insider’s Guide to Disney World

Once you have completed your Orlando airport transport and your trip to the magical kingdom is imminent, you really want to make the most of every moment spent in this amazing venue.

Let’s face it, most of us are really kids at heart. That’s why Disney is so popular.

Here is a look at what to expect and how to make the most of your trip to Disney World.

Plan your day

It is so easy to get carried away when you enter one of the parks. Before you know it, the day has gone and there are still loads of attractions that you wanted to see and do.

A good tip would be to plan where you want to go and prioritize certain parks and attractions that are top of your list.

For instance, if you have some young children with you, you might want to arrange to see Cinderella’s castle and take a ride through the hugely popular and enjoyable “It’s a Small World” attraction.

You can’t see everything. That’s why it makes sense to plan your day beforehand so that you get the maximum enjoyment out of the day by seeing all of your favorites.

It takes about three whole days to truly cover what Disney World has to offer. If you are there for a few days, it is still a smart move to create a personalized itinerary.

Get your parking sorted

Parking problems and delays can quickly derail your day if you are not careful. That’s why you should decide how and where you are going to park beforehand.

You have a choice of either standard parking or preferred parking, which gets you closer to the park, for a premium.

A good recommendation would be to take the complimentary shuttle buses that are running throughout the day.

Also, take a picture of your parking location. It makes it easier to find your car and head to the right place when you are leaving the park.

Getting on the rides

Queues are inevitable. However, you can reduce your waiting time to get on rides by picking good times to ride.

For instance, you can get to ride Space Mountain after waiting for an average of just over 15 minutes first thing in the morning. By the time it gets to about 10 am, the wait time will have shot up to nearly three times that number.

Another good strategy is to use the single rider lines where possible.

The downside is that going on the rides is a shared experience and you may not all get on at the same time if you are in a group and take the single rider line. But you can get on quicker when you use this lane.

Use the app

Downloading the official Disney World app is a bit of a no-brainer.

It makes it easier to access your tickets. Plus, you get lots of other useful information such as maps and details of wait times.

You might be a kid at heart when you are enjoying the fun of Disney World and all that it has to offer, but you can take advantage of your adult skills to arrange the day to your advantage.
