Do you take annual family vacations? With our older children having full-time jobs and even starting a family of their own, we still try to plan a vacation together each year. This summer, we were excited to cruise together aboard the Carnival Dream.

Family Vacation, Why Your Next Family Vacation Should be a Cruise – Carnival Dream, Days of a Domestic Dad

Your Next Family Vacation

When we’re asked about it, we enjoy highlighting not only the great time we had during our cruise, but we also talk about why we choose to take family cruises. This was our fourth one together.

Don’t forget that a family vacation for us includes at least five and, now, up to nine people. This means, we have several points to consider when we’re looking at destinations. From a budget-minded choice to family-friendly activities, there’s plenty to think about.

In fact, this is often how we conclude that our next family vacation should be a cruise. After all, when you put all the elements of what we’re looking for in a vacation together, a Carnival Cruise seems to check all the boxes.

All-Inclusive

When you’re keeping an eye on the vacation budget, you have to take note of each individual cost associated with traveling. From transportation to meals and lodging, there’s plenty to list.

With a Carnival Cruise, once you’ve paid for your cruise, you don’t have any essential additional costs. Everything from all the food you can eat—including room service—to onboard entertainment, amenities, as well as your stateroom, is included.

The only additional costs you’ll incur are based on shore excursions you may choose to take, specialty dining on-board, spa services, and beverage packages. These are all options you and your family can budget for if you choose to indulge during your cruise.

Of course, there needs to be plenty of fun to be had on any vacation, and a cruise is definitely full of action. Not to mention, there’s something for everyone!

See the World

Imagine how much you can see in the 5-7 days (or more) you’re cruising! Basically, you pack for one vacation, drive to one destination, and get to see and do enough for 3 vacations.

And that’s based on a 7-day cruise. Take a longer cruise and see even more! It’s the ideal way to hop through various ports, explore new cultures, and see more of the world.
