2022 Honda Civic 1.5T
The 2022 Civic is one of the most popular smaller cars with some of the best safety features on the market today.
Honda’s “Safety for Everyone” approach focuses on advancing safety for all who are sharing the road. This includes drivers, passengers, cyclists, and pedestrians. All Civic models are equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies. Included in the suite are:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with Pedestrian Detection
- Forward Collision Warning
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
Honda Sensing is now standard or available on all 2022 Honda models, including the Civic sedan and hatchback. All-new Honda vehicles also benefit from Honda’s proprietary Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure that is designed to help protect occupants in a wide variety of front-end collisions. Advanced passive safety features are in place as well, including state-of-the-art front airbag technology that is designed to provide a high level of collision protection for drivers and all passengers inside the car.
For a vehicle to qualify for a TOP SAFETY PICK award, it has to earn good ratings in six crash-worthy categories established by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. These are tests performed by the manufacturer that includes:
- Driver-side small overlap front
- Passenger-side small overlap front
- Moderate overlap front
- Moderate overlap side
- Roof strength
- Head restraint tests
As always, Honda is committed to working on improving safety for everyone that shares the road. Honda refers to this mission as “Safety for Everyone”. Honda operates some of the most sophisticated crash-test facilities in both Japan and Ohio. The company is completely committed to preventing collisions and making sure pedestrians and cyclists are just as safe as the vehicle occupants.
The Honda Civic is available in either a classic sedan with a rear trunk or a hatchback for more cargo space. For More Information on the safety features of the 2022 Honda Civic 1.5T, please visit Honda.com.
