Signature Design
The CX-5 Signature is sophisticated, yet simple in its elegance. There are new premium features included. Some of those are heated front and rear seats trimmed in Caturra Brown Nappa leather, a matching a steering wheel that is also wrapped in leather, and stylish wood trim. Ambient LED lighting and a frameless rearview mirror all add to the exceptional interior cabin experience.
Smart Technology
The 2019 CX-5 has several new technology features that improve on the vehicle’s comfort, entertainment, and safety. There is a 7-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM entertainment systems are available. These smart technologies make it easier for driver and passengers to use Smartphone applications in a safer manner. These can be operated via the multi-function Commander knob, buttons, and voice commands.
Smooth & Powerful Drive
The signature level CX-5 models are available with Mazda’s turbocharged SKYACTIV-G 2.5T engine. This ramped up engine allows for 310 lb-ft of torque from just 2,000 RPM and 250 horsepower on 93-octane gasoline. The integrated Dynamic Pressure Turbo boosts the engine at a lower RPM to accelerate the exhaust gasses. As well, there is a secondary valve that can open up and operate at a higher RPM for increased airflow and an even higher horsepower. This all produces a smooth ride that compliments the way the driver accelerates.
Enhanced Stability
Along with a more powerful engine, the G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) is standard on the CX-5 Signature AWD. What the GVC Plus does is improve steering response with detailed precision. It is capable of shifting the weight to the front tires whenever the driver turns the wheel, especially when driving in hazardous conditions or at higher speeds.
Safety Technology
i-ACTIVSENSE technology safety systems provide assistance, such as Smart City Brake Support and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. These are standard on the CX-5. The i-ACTIVSENSE package of safety features also includes available Adaptive Front-lighting System, High Beam Control, Hill Launch Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane-Keep Assist.
