Hard to believe that with two of my kids already on the road, that we’ll have more teen drivers in just a few short years! I can’t even imagine! But it’s comforting knowing that there are programs like Ford Driving Skills for Life to teach young drivers good habits and keep them safe on the roads. Best part – it’s coming to North Texas!

Ford Driving Skills for Life – Dallas

Ford Driving Skills for Life is a free hands-on training program for newly permitted and licensed drivers that will be in Grand Prairie on March 10 and 11 at Lone Star Park. This is a fun and free event, but will teach teen drivers some serious skills behind the wheel! Some sobering statistics: in North Texas and across the country, vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among teens. The Texas Highway Safety Office says in 2016 there were 118 teen driver fatalities and 5,898 teen driver injuries resulting from 83,278 total crashes involving teen drivers. It’s a jungle out there!
