If you aren’t familiar with SING, you really should check it out. This movie is an animated musical comedy starring Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Seth MacFarlane, John C. Reilly, and Tori Kelly. McConaughey is Buster Moon, an optimistic koala bear who hosts a grand singing competition to save his decrepit theater. Witherspoon is Rosita, a diva pig with 25 unappreciative piglets. Johansson portrays Ash, a punk rock porcupine with a spectacular singing voice. Egerton plays a gangster gorilla named Johnny with a sordid family past that he needs to break free of.
SING Digital Release
The story line is heartwarming and the characters are hilarious and lovable. The singing and musical score are awesome. You can’t go wrong with the award-winning cast. Be sure to check out the trailer here.
Illumination studio is planning to release a SING Digital release by March 3, 2017. They will also release a Blu-ray and DVD version around March 21, 2017. Illumination is the same studio that gave us The Secret Lives of Pets and Despicable Me. Both are very funny and engaging animated films that our family continues to enjoy.
SING was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. There are over 65 hit songs. Stevie Wonder’s new release “Faith” features Ariana Grande. And, it just keeps getting better.
