When you’re hurt in an accident it can feel like your entire life has been turned upside down, and when that accident wasn’t your fault, it’s even more difficult to accept.

Personal Injury Lawyer

You’re in pain, you’re angry, frustrated and understandably concerned about your medical bills and your loss of earnings. And if you have children at home to care for, then this whole episode can have a huge impact on their lives too.

Once you’ve sought medical help, it could be in your best interest to reach out to a personal injury lawyer – click here for more information.

When you pursue a personal injury claim, you’re not only taking steps to ensure the person at fault takes responsibility for their negligence, but you’re also ensuring that it never happens to anyone else and that you and your family are financially secure until you can get back to work. Wondering if your injury constitutes a personal injury claim?

Read on for 4 instances you should probably call a personal injury lawyer.

Car Accident – Personal Injury Lawyer

A motor vehicle accident can happen, even when you’re extra vigilant and adhering to the rules and laws of the road. Sadly, not everyone drives with due care and attention, with thousands of vehicle accidents occurring each year. Whether you were involved in an accident as a driver, passenger or even as a pedestrian you could be entitled to compensation, due to the negligence of another driver. The injuries sustained from car accidents can be extensive and range from concussion to whiplash, broken bones and even life-changing injuries, so if you’re not to blame for the accident, get in touch with a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.

Medical Malpractice

When we seek medical advice or undergo a medical procedure, we expect the medical team to be competent and to uphold the highest standards of care. Additional injuries sustained due to negligence, surgical errors, infection due to unsanitary conditions, misdiagnosis, medication errors or even mishandled births are all circumstances in which you should reach out to a personal injury lawyer. They can help you put together a case against the medical team who have let you down and get you the monetary compensation you’ll need to pay for your medical bills and to get your life back on track.

Do I need a Personal Injury Lawyer for Workplace Accidents

It’s an employer’s legal duty to ensure that their staff are safe and are working in safe conditions. When you’re injured at work, it means they’ve failed, and they could be prosecuted. Perhaps they haven’t provided the right safety equipment or training, maybe there are hazards that aren’t being addressed or perhaps you now have a medical condition brought on by your poor working environment.

Personal Injury Lawyer – Slips and trips

A slip or a fall sounds like an inconvenience, but if you sustain an injury and render yourself unfit to work then that minor inconvenience can quickly turn into a major nightmare.

According to linkalaw.ca, if the owner of a commercial establishment was aware of the hazard but failed to take action or correct it, then they can be held responsible for your injuries. Building managers, businesses and public organizations are required to keep public places safe and free of hazards. If you’ve slipped, fallen and hurt yourself then you could be entitled to compensation.

I’ve partnered with @TxDOT to remind you that all distractions – whether texting, eating, grooming, having a conversation, etc. – can be dangerous. #ad   That is why my family and I are also taking the AT&T It Can Wait pledge at http://www.ItCanWait.com/ to never drive distracted. As I get older and wiser as a dad of 5, I realize parenting is mostly about preparation. That is why I am proud to partner with @TxDOT on educating my daughters about distracted driving.    As a young guy, I found myself preparing to be a dad, or at least a good dad. Now I find myself preparing my children to be good people and safe drivers on the road. Jaci and I have been going over distracted driving prevention tips and having a little fun with the new web-based AR game – Dart Those Distractions. It helps promote safe driving in a fun way.   Check out the link in my bio to play. #HeadsUpTexas #EndTheStreakTX #ad
