The NETGEAR Arlo Q security camera is a full service, security system that provides consumers with updated visual quality and enhanced audio and cloud capabilities. NETGEAR designed the Arlo Q system to combine simplicity with innovative security camera technology. Arlo Q’s two-way audio system with microphone and speaker allows the user to listen in on any room in the house, as well as speak to any of the rooms’ occupants from an iPhone or Android smart phone. Broadcasting in 1080p HD, the Arlo Q uses dual band WiFi for optimum wireless range and seamless, uninterrupted video streaming. The camera features 8x digital zoom, a 4-megapixel-image sensor and a 130-degree wide-angle lens. Arlo’s night vision utilizes 850nm LEDs that illuminate up to 25 feet. The system also comes with A/C adaptor and multiple mounting options.

The Arlo Q smartphone app provides scheduling functionality with programmable Activity Zone surveillance and custom motion and audio alerts. Users can schedule recording times, or set specific areas around the home to record continuously; therefore, minimizing false alerts caused by incidental sound and motion.

An added benefit to the Arlo Q system is that it is one of the simplest home security systems on the market to set up. The camera’s multiple mounting options include magnet, computer and wall mounts. Once situated, the camera connects to any home WiFi network by simply pressing a sync button and scanning a QR code. The whole process can take as little as five minutes.
