The new 2021 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Platinum 4×4 ranks right up there with the best of hard-working trucks for any job, including catering to the needs of a typical family on the move. The F-150 lineup offers purpose-built, tough, and comfortable light-duty pickups.
The F-150 aims to provide the most towing and payload of any light-duty and full-size pickup. This truck is perfect for us to take camping with all the room in the flatbed for our gear and enough power to tow recreational vehicles or an extra travel trailer. It is also great for just bringing home our DIY projects.
Hauling and Towing Capabilities
Every all-new F-150 comes with tailgate-mounted side cleats so you can tie down larger items that need to be secured inside the bed. Clamp pockets are built into the tailgate so you can hold materials in place while working on projects that require precision.
The 3.5-liter PowerBoost full hybrid V6 powertrain makes the F-150 the only pickup in its class to offer a full hybrid engine. This powerful hybrid powertrain puts out 430 horsepower and 570 lb.-ft. of torque. The PowerBoost system adds instant electric torque to Ford’s EcoBoost V6 while achieving an EPA-estimated range of approximately 700 miles on one tank of gas. And, it offers a maximum available12,700 pounds of towing capacity.
Accessible Tailgate
The bed of the truck is ideal for us to take in an outdoor movie or going to a tailgate party. The kids can easily access the bed with the built-in tailgate step. They can set up camp chairs once inside the bed. The available power tailgate allows you to open and close the tailgate door using the key fob. And, the tailgate is equipped with LED lighting.
Interior Comfort
For driving the kids to and from school or practice, the cabin is designed with comfort in mind. The leather front seats are bucket-style that are contoured to the body. The rear seat of the SuperCrew is a 60/40 flip-up split-bench with an elongated cushion. Both the front and rear seats are heated.
The 2021 F-150 introduces a new 12-inch center screen that offers customers a split-screen to better control a variety of functions simultaneously. These functions include truck features, navigation, music, and more. The landscape design aims to provide a balance between demands for technology accessibility and the greater convenience of physical buttons.
For longer trips to visit extended family, the cabin is equipped with SiriusXM with 360L open image overlay, Bang and Olufsen sound system with HD radio technology, and SYNC 4 with enhanced voice recognition. The FordPass Connect with Wi-Fi hotspot open image overlay allows for an internet connection while on the move.
