Disclosure: I was invited by the Chicago Auto Show to attend share about the show and share my thoughts. All opinions are my own.

Chicago Auto Show 2015

This year I attended the 2015 Chicago Auto Show at the McCormick Place in Chicago Illinois for a couple days. The show is open to the public from February 14th to the 22nd, and is one of the biggest auto shows in the nation. To say the least I racked up plenty of steps on my Samsung Gear 2.

Wow! no wonder I am tired! #CAS15 #connectedlife

After surviving the media frenzy at the Chicago Auto Show feel I should give a tease of what you can see at CAS15.

 Ford Police Interceptor

The latest upgrade for the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor is all set to patrol. On the outside, the revised Ford police vehicle looks basically the same as the recently refreshed Explorer with a new grille and redesigned headlights. Also, a all new surveillance mode feature will help protect law enforcement.

Be sure to stop by the Lexus booth to scope out the SEMA birthed RC F! It is just cool to look at!

Acura – NSX

Twenty-five years after the debut of the original, paradigm-shifting NSX super-car, Acura revealed the production version of its highly anticipated successor—the next-generation Acura NSX, developed and produced in the U.S.—to the world’s auto media at the 2015 North American International Auto Show today. The production model, in a scintillating NSX Red finish, took the stage with a growl from its twin-turbocharged engine.

Kia – Trackster

Described as the ultimate performance edition of the very popular Soul, the Kia Track’ster Concept first debuted at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. The Track’ster is a three-door hatch with a lowered profile that is set to hit the green light.

Last but not Least SpongeBob Toyota Sienna

Nickelodeon and Toyota have partnered to transform everyone’s porous pal into a new 3-D concept car based on Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies’ upcoming film, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. The SpongeBob Movie 2015 Toyota Sienna features a custom three-dimensional SpongeBob SquarePants exterior, complete with the character’s Superhero Incredibubble mask that blows real bubbles at the top of the car. The interior features seating inspired by each of SpongeBob’s Bikini Bottom pals, along with a wood-grain dashboard, a custom Captain’s steering wheel, a blue-sky head liner and a sand-inspired floor. The one-of-a-kind vehicle will be unveiled on Nov. 18 at the LA Auto Show and will then roll out on a cross-country promotional tour leading up to The SpongeBob Movie’s Feb. 6, 2015 premiere.

The overall auto show is amazing and I recommend stopping by if your going to be in the area.

I’ve partnered with @TxDOT to remind you that all distractions – whether texting, eating, grooming, having a conversation, etc. – can be dangerous. #ad   That is why my family and I are also taking the AT&T It Can Wait pledge at http://www.ItCanWait.com/ to never drive distracted. As I get older and wiser as a dad of 5, I realize parenting is mostly about preparation. That is why I am proud to partner with @TxDOT on educating my daughters about distracted driving.    As a young guy, I found myself preparing to be a dad, or at least a good dad. Now I find myself preparing my children to be good people and safe drivers on the road. Jaci and I have been going over distracted driving prevention tips and having a little fun with the new web-based AR game – Dart Those Distractions. It helps promote safe driving in a fun way.   Check out the link in my bio to play. #HeadsUpTexas #EndTheStreakTX #ad
