It still has the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) but with a driver centered cabin and superior technology. This version of the RDX offers a 10-speed automatic transmission for fast acceleration, a standard turbocharged engine, and advanced SH-AWD® for mastery of corners and curves.

What I Like Most
The 2019 RDX offers a premium, tech-savvy cabin experience with the very first application of Acura’s True Touchpad™ Interface. This interface combines the advantages of both conventional touchscreen and remote-based approaches to the technology available. The True Touchpad Interface includes a 10.2 inch full-HD display mounted above the center console that is closer to the driver’s natural line of sight. The touchpad is precisely mapped with the action on the display. Acura calls this the world’s first use of “absolute positioning” for the driver. You can watch a video of the interface here.
The new RDX debuts the available Acura ELS Studio 3D™ premium audio system. This is a 16-channel, 710-watt system with four ultra-slim Highline™ ceiling-mounted speakers. It also has natural language voice recognition which allows for more intuitive voice control of major features and functions. This feature makes the Acura Navigation System easier to work with. Also available is a 10.5 inch full-color interactive Head-Up Display. This display places audio, phone, AcuraWatch alerts, turn-by-turn navigation and more, in the driver’s line of sight.
The latest generation of AcuraLink™ features in-vehicle 4GLTE Wi-Fi that has available over-the-air software updates and cloud based services. Included are emergency roadside assistance, remote locking/unlocking and engine start, stolen vehicle tracking, and remote diagnostics, to name a few of the features.
I like that this car feels like a solid, premium, luxury 5 person crossover SUV. Sometimes we think of SUVs as really being just utility cars, almost like passenger trucks. But, the 2019 Acura RDX delivers Precision Crafted Performance, upscale and stylishly sporty exteriors, and high-end interior styling with innovate technology.
