Power with Fuel Economy
The Lexus Hybrid Drive system pairs the D4-S fuel injection 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine with two high-torque electric drive motor-generators for quick acceleration. The all-weather drive system employs a second electric motor to drive the rear wheels for optimal traction.
Updated Color Palette
In 2022, the RX family will continue to offer refined and customizable color and trim options. The NuLuxe trim option continues to be offered across all grade levels from base to Premium grade vehicles across the RX and RXL lineup. For the 2022 Luxury and Premium grades, the interior color Noble Brown has been replaced with Glazed Caramel.
Speedy Technology
The Multimedia System touchscreen is now 5-1/2 inches closer to the driver and offers control of the audio and climate systems. It also has a backup camera. The screen is available in the standard 8-inch display and an optional 12.3-inch high-resolution split-screen multimedia display. Dynamic Voice Command (DVC) on the RX crossover can be combined with the available 12.3-inch multimedia system.
There are six USB ports and a designated cell phone storage with smartphone integration. This is great for the whole family to keep their personal devices connected and charged. The Lexus App allows drivers to start their vehicle remotely with a smartphone or to contact Lexus to schedule a maintenance appointment.
Advanced Connectivity
With Android Auto, drivers can easily access and use their phones on the touchscreen display. With a simplified interface and easy-to-use voice actions through Google Assistant, you can stay focused on the road. Once connected, the family can listen to music from apps like Spotify and Pandora. You can also send messages through apps like WhatsApp. The driver can accomplish tasks quickly with voice commands.
Apple CarPlay integration can be achieved via your iPhone through the Lexus RH touchscreen display. Through voice services like Amazon Alexa, you are able to control smart home devices and more.
Safety First
Safety is always a priority for my family. The Lexus Safety System 2.0+ is a standard suite of advanced safety features in the Lexus RX. This now includes bicyclist detection and low-light pedestrian detection along with Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Lane Tracing Assist (LTA).
With Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), drivers can change from one lane to the next confidently. For added peace of mind, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert can help when backing out of a parking space by alerting the driver of approaching vehicles.
