## Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Hello everyone and welcome to the **Ultimate Blog Party of 2013**! This is my first year to join in the party and I look forward to meeting new bloggers. **5 Minutes for Mom** hosts this annual event and it is a one of the biggest online parties in the blogging community. Plus, I must mention the fact that there are chances to win some spectacular prizes?! Let's party!

First, my name is Colby and I am a ["Domestic Dad"..](https://daysofadomesticdad.com/days-of-a-domestic-dad/). hence the blog name: [Days of a Domestic Dad](https://daysofadomesticdad.com/ "Days of a Domestic Dad"). I have only been blogging since this past December when I was laid off from my corporate job.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Staci ([7onashoestring.com](http://7onashoestring.com "7onashoestring.com")), for over 18 years and we have 5 children together. 4 daughters and 1 son. The kids range in age from 3 to 17 years and are everything to us.

We have both lived in North Texas all or our lives and love just *doing life* here. Some of the things that I am passionate about... other than my wife and kids... are football, NASCAR, food, sunsets, walks in the park, and a good cup of coffee (*just to list a few*). I am a pretty simple kind of guy. A hopeless romantic at heart. I just [blog](https://daysofadomesticdad.com/blog/) about things that my family goes through in day-to-day life and review an occasional product or two.
