# Hit the Offroad in the Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium

### The all new 2018 and the soon to be released 2019 4Runner TRD Pro has all the bells and whistles for taking your adventures on and off the road. It is both rugged and comfortable. This SUV is the perfect size for an excursion into the backcountry while hauling all of your necessary gear. Here’s what I like about this utility vehicle:

## Toyota 4Runner TRD

**Exterior Detailing** \- The 4Runner TRD Pro comes with black badging, black-bezel headlights, and an intimidating front grille. There is a rugged roof rack to carry the extra gear you need. The standard 17 inch wheels are lightweight in matte-black. The TRD alloy wheels are wrapped in 31.5-in. Nitto® Terra Grappler® all-terrain tires for maximum traction on road or off.

**Interior Styling** \- The TRD Pro interior cabin offers red-stitched SofTex®-trimmed seats. The Pro carpet floor mats are designed to take on all sorts of dirt. Between the stylish captains seats the leather-wrapped TRD Pro shift knob offers superior comfort. A premium [JBL Audio system](https://daysofadomesticdad.com/toyota-rav4-trd-jbl-system/) provides excellent, clear acoustics for your playlist or favorite radio station.

**Extra Suspension** \- The [4Runner TRD Pro](https://daysofadomesticdad.com/conquering-trails-with-toyota-4runner-trd-pro/) is engineered for taking on rugged terrain. The front has a combination of TRD FOX® performance shocks and TRD-tuned springs. The rear shock compressions feature a 2 inch reservoir to hold more oil and have been fine-tuned to help smooth out the ride while on a trail. A roost shield helps protect the shock shaft and seals from rocks being kicked up by the tires.

Power and Performance - This vehicle packs a powerful 4.0-liter, 270-horsepower V6 engine. The standard Multi-terrain Select, Crawl Control 50, and an electronic locking rear differential provide   
 the traction you need to power through unforgiving landscapes. And, the 1/4-inch-thick aluminum front skid plate gives you added protection for the underside of the car.

**Safety for the Family** \- While capability and toughness are at the core of the TRD Pro, safety has to be a top priority when off-road driving. The 4Runner [features the Toyota](https://daysofadomesticdad.com/features-about-the-2022-toyota-prius-prime/) Star Safety System. This includes things like Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Braking System, and Smart Stop Technology (SST).
