My Southwest Grilled Chicken Recipe paired with Bush’s new Sweet Heat Beans.

I am always looking for savory dishes to share with the family for dinner. Tonight I decided to pair up my Southwest Grilled Chicken with Bush’s Limited Time Sweet Heat Beans.

Bush's Sweet Heat Beans

Turn Up Summer with Bush’s Sweet Heat Beans

Now we normally have the southwest grilled chicken often over the Summer months. It is great recipe, quick to make and can be paired with practically anything. Like with Bush’s Beans and any vegetable. Love the taste of the new, limited time only, Bush’s Sweet Heat Beans. The bold and savory flavor ignited my taste buds on fire, in a good way.

Bush’s Sweet Heat are prepared red beans in a sweet and spicy sauce accented with tomatoes, brown sugar, onion and serrano peppers to create a side that’s a little sweet with just the right heat.

Southwest Grilled Chicken Recipe

Total Time:

  • Prep: 10 min.
  • Marinating: Approximately 1 hour
  • Grill: 10 min.

Makes: 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (5 ounces each)

Directions:

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first six ingredients; add chicken. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for up to 1 hour. Drain chicken, discarding marinade in bag. Grill chicken, covered, over medium heat for 4-7 minutes on each side or until juices run clear. Yield: 2 servings.

Disclosure: I am a proud Bush’s Beans brand ambassador. I have been compensated for my time and efforts in creating this post. As always all opinions stated above are 100% entirely own. #DoneThis

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
