Do you have one or two youth soccer players in your family? I know plenty of families in the North Dallas area that have a few soccer ball kickin youths. If you do you might want to see what FC Dallas and Toyota are up to together.

ToyotaSoccerStars Youth Soccer

Toyota, in partnership with FC Dallas; are encouraging coaches, parents, friends and family to nominate exemplary youth athletes (ages 11-16) who are making a positive impact in their community, excelling in the classroom and displaying leadership on the field.

Four (4) winners will be selected and receive a spot at FC Dallas’ Elite Player Residential camp, which includes:

  • Four (4) night accommodations
  • Soccer workshops
  • Official Adidas equipment package
  • One-on-one with FC Dallas Technical Coaches
  • Player evaluations and more

Toyota Soccer Stars’ can be nominated at www.ToyotaSoccerStars.com. Nominations will be accepted through May 20, and nominators can submit physical entries at two FC Dallas Community Clinics on April 22 and May 19.

Disclosure: I did not get paid for this post, I posted it becasue I love working with Toyota and FC Dallas. Thank You!

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
