Skin Care

As I get older, I have noticed that my body has made plenty of changes without necessarily asking me first. You know, the typical receding hairline, slowing metabolism, rising blood pressure, and aching bones. Luckily, I have caught on to what my body is trying to tell me and have adjusted my lifestyle accordingly. In addition to the aforementioned list, I have also noticed that I have need to step up my game as far as skin care.

Once upon a time, I was able to get away with just a bar of soap, water, and a wash cloth. I could even shave with a single blade razor with just water and nothing else. I guess all those years of not taking care of my skin is coming back to me and has it screaming for help. Just recently I tried shaving without shaving cream or using lotion afterwards. Yeah, it was painful to say the least!

After getting the hint, I decided a trip to my local WalMart Supercenter was needed to find a cure for my skin irritation. I like “my Walmart”  because they make it easy to find what I need quickly and at a competitive price. With clearly marked shopping aisles, I was able to quickly find plenty of options as far as shaving gels, creams, and lotions.

Neutrogena Men

I decided to try the Neutrogena Men® invigorating face wash, razor defense shaving gel, and sensitive skin shave cream.

Neutrogena is America’s #1 men’s skin care brand and offers the perfect mix of skin essentials to help keep his face clean, smooth and moisturized.

The face wash was actually a refreshing experience. Especially at the end of a long day working and taking care of my family. I also found that just a little amount of face wash goes a long way, and the deep cleaning feeling leaves your skin refreshed. Even as a man, that refreshing feeling is important. My wife and kids notice the different and that means a lot if my world.

While at Walmart, I could not decide on the Razor Defense Shave Gel or Sensitive Skin Shave Cream, so I just bought both to try. I am glad I did. I felt that each one assisted in making my shaving experience much more enjoyable. Plus, the overall effect protected my skin from razor irritation unlike regular soap alone. If I had to choose one, the Sensitive Skin Shave Cream is my preferred choice only because of the Pro-Soothe™ Technology. The Pro-Soothe Technology provides protection against those  razor bumps and ingrown hairs… both of which I hate.

After using the Neutrogena Men products, I finally feel that I have found the right skin care solution for me. After the last few times using the face wash and shave cream, I was walked away from the sink both razor bump and irritation free. In my book, that makes for a great start to the day!

I’ve partnered with @TxDOT to remind you that all distractions – whether texting, eating, grooming, having a conversation, etc. – can be dangerous. #ad   That is why my family and I are also taking the AT&T It Can Wait pledge at http://www.ItCanWait.com/ to never drive distracted. As I get older and wiser as a dad of 5, I realize parenting is mostly about preparation. That is why I am proud to partner with @TxDOT on educating my daughters about distracted driving.    As a young guy, I found myself preparing to be a dad, or at least a good dad. Now I find myself preparing my children to be good people and safe drivers on the road. Jaci and I have been going over distracted driving prevention tips and having a little fun with the new web-based AR game – Dart Those Distractions. It helps promote safe driving in a fun way.   Check out the link in my bio to play. #HeadsUpTexas #EndTheStreakTX #ad
