“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.” ― John Lennon

This summer Netflix is making your dream for your children to share the same love you have for The Beatles, a reality by sharing their world changing music through the new animated series Beat Bugs. Growing up in the 70’s, I had a strong love for The Beatles, even though the band broke up in 1970, their music lived on throughout every fan in a different way. I, like many others, learned some values in love, self worth and knowledge from their lyrics. When I heard that Netflix Beat Bugs was coming out this summer, I couldn’t think of a better way to introduced my young daughters to the One Direction of my time and share the dream.

Beat-Bugs-6

Netflix Beat Bugs

Beat Bugs is an animated series inspired by the songs of the Beatles. The 12 minute mini episodes are inspired individually by songs from the Lennon/McCartney ‘Northern Songs’ catalogue, to tell uplifting and life-affirming stories filled with hope, love and melody. World-leading artists like Eddie Vedder, P!nk, James Bay, Sia, The Shins, Of Monsters and Men, Chris Cornell, Regina Spektor and James Corden come together with animators and writers to come together to work on this harmonious show.

Beat-Bugs-3

The 5 different characters of the Beat Bugs are all heart warming, corky, and over all looking for adventure at every turn. Each of the five friends (Jay, Kumi, Crick, Buzz, and Walter) has a distinctive personality, and they display the charm and energy of five knockabout, lovable kids. They are best friends who band together to explore and learn in an overgrown suburban backyard, which to them is their entire universe.

Jay, Kumi, Crick, Buzz, and Walter take you with them on a load of adventures through out their overgrown suburban backyard, while on the grand scope of our world, their space might be small, this yard is the universe to these small bugs. Watch as they work together to solve bug sized problems and how they find new ways to comb through life looking for a new melody.

Watch the whole First Season now on Netflix under the Kids Profile on your account.

** Watchers Tip: Try and guess what Beatles songs goes side by side with the episode your kids has chosen to watch and play that song following the episode. THEN, let the dreaming reality begin.
