I didn’t know much about the Genesis brand of cars until I saw a G80 parked in a nearby driveway. From the back, I mistook the sedan for a Bentley with its iconic winged logo. The front grille also echoed the imposing facade of the Bentley sedan. But this car was a little different. The body was curvier and the interior was unlike anything I had ever seen.
2021 Genesis G80 Interior
The 2021 Genesis G80 is a luxury sedan with a decidedly upscale interior cabin. The interior is elegantly designed with rich-looking soft-touch surfaces and a streamlined dashboard. The steering wheel and rotary gearshift disc have unique aesthetics.
The G8 sedan offers ambient interior lighting, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and a clear and crisp infotainment display.
The pop-up touchscreen display is huge at 14.5-inches. This is command central of the G80’s infotainment system. The display can be manipulated by a circular controller on the center console, buttons on the steering wheel, or voice commands. Every G80 comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A powerful Lexicon audio system is part of the infotainment system.
There is ample head and legroom in both the front and back seats. The back seats are especially roomy. The seats are beautifully sculpted and crafted and incredibly comfortable. Both the front and rear seats are heated and ventilated.
The carpeted cargo space has plenty of room for luggage or gear for a family of five.
Award-Winning Design
Delivering a state-of-the-art driving experience, smart technology, and ambitious styling, the fully redesigned 2021 G80 has been touted as everything a midsize luxury sedan offers. This car has been named the “Most Dependable Midsize Premium Car” two years in a row by J.D. Power.
