Do you still enjoy watching some of the best soap operas on TV? Are you a huge General Hospital follower? I have been a fan of soap operas and daytime television for quite sometime. I remember some days during the Summer, when I was staying with my Gran Gran (Grandmother). We would sit on her little red love seat during lunch, and enjoy a turkey sandwich and General Hospital. This had to be one of Gran Gran’s favorite daytime shows, cause they always have the best story lines. Some of the best episodes are from the General Hospital Nurses Ball and spy mysteries involving secret formulas, hidden treasures and world domination.
Visit to General Hospital Set
While on our trip to LA we made plenty of stops, and one of them was at the ABC set of General Hospital. We had a moment to look over historic General Hospital memorabilia, and costumes/evening dresses. It was amazing looking and reliving some of the history points in the shows 50 years.
At 50-plus historic years and growing, “General Hospital” has received the prestigious Emmy Award for Outstanding Daytime Drama a record eleven times. The medical drama is the longest running American soap opera currently in production and the longest running scripted drama on television currently in production. Filmed in Hollywood, CA, the show will air its 13,000th episode on February 24, 2014.
