We Test Drove the Ford F250 Super Duty Tremor

I am a big fan of heavy-duty trucks that can haul large loads while also offering a certain level of comfort for my family in the cab. The new Ford F250 Super Duty Tremor package fits that description.

I took this truck for a test drive for a full week and it lived up to my expectations.

Power and Handling

The F250 Tremor I drove had a 7.3 liter V8 diesel engine with a 48-gallon fuel tank. The TorqShift transmission is ten-speed with selectable drive modes: normal, slippery, tow/haul, eco, and deep sand/snow. The Ford Tremor package includes 20-inch wheels with 35-inch off-road tires. Had the weather been better, I would have explored a lot more terrain with the Ford F250.

Super Duty Trmor – Styling

The F250 Lariat has ebony black body accents to give it an imposing stance. These include 6-inch running boards, painted aluminum wheels, fenders, vents, and mirror caps. The truck is equipped with LED box lighting and an LED center high-mounted stop lamp. The lined truck bed is deep and generous for plenty of gear. A tonneau cover is available to protect gear.

The interior of the F250 Super Duty Tremor is roomy and comfortable with two captain’s seats in front and a generous second row that can easily fit 3 passengers. The front seats are power heated. The cabin also has fixed-color ambient lighting.

Technology and Entertainment

The Ford Tremor is equipped with Intelligent Access with push-button start, remote start, power telescoping/tilt steering wheel with memory and audio controls, PowerScope mirrors with memory, a voice-activated Navigation System with HD Radio Technology and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and wireless charging.

The available Bang & Olufsen sound system adds concert hall surround-sound quality to the F250 Super Duty cabin. There is an integrated microphone monitoring background noise to ensure outstanding playback, up to 1,000 watts of amplified power, and 10 strategically located premium speakers.

Safety

Standard safety features of the F250 include Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), front and side airbags, Belt-Minder chime and flashing warning light on the instrument panel, and SOS Post Crash Alert System.

Super Duty Tremor Final Thoughts

There is no doubt the Ford F250 Lariat Super Duty Tremor is a big truck with plenty of power to haul and tow gear and recreational equipment. This truck is designed for extreme off-road terrain conditions.

As tough and powerful as the F250 Tremor is, the interior cabin does not disappoint when it comes to comfort and roominess.
