It’s been twenty two years since the production of the last Dallas Cowboys Ford F-150. With the grand opening of Frisco’s new Ford Center at the Star, these two uniquely American powerhouses have come together and created a special edition truck that will find a home in the multi-vehicle garage of only the most devoted members of the Cowboys nation.
Starting at a very reasonable $41,925 and utilizing the XLT with Chrome package there will only be 400 made and, you guessed it, they can come in any color you want as long as it’s Cowboys silver. Part of the proceeds from this launch will be going to an excellent cause. The Happy Hill Farm in Granbury Texas is a college-prep boarding school whose mission is to fully equip and develop gifted and talented children, regardless of their family income bracket.
Taking a closer look at the vehicle the Dallas Cowboys and the makers of the Ford F-150 have not missed a single detail. In case the color didn’t give it away, the team emblem adorns the center caps of the 20-inch chrome wheels, you’ll find the star on the front doors and tailgate, the cargo mat has the logo on there (just in case there are any Cowboy haters flying prop planes over the highway and you want them to know about your recent truck purchase) the blue/white/blue rocker panel striping is a stylish touch and the chrome grill and running boards will allow even the Sunday driver to stand above the competition and admire the laser etched, chrome Cowboys foot plates before climbing into their new Ford F-150 and trying their best to not put their boots on the specially stitched Dallas Cowboys floor mats.
If you wished to take the road trip of a lifetime and visit your Uncle in Green Bay, your cousin in Pittsburgh and your old college room mate in Chicago and take them to a Dallas game in real comfort and luxury, you would have the standard 3 year, 36,000 mile new vehicle warranty to back you up. The interior “1 of 400” badges personally autographed by Mr. Jerry Jones adds a personal touch and having never seen the inside of an executive suite at the new Ford Stadium you’d have to imagine, steering wheel and dashboard aside they paid just as much attention to the final product.
With these special editions happening once a generation and the new football season upon us, now is a good a time as any to get to your nearest Texas Ford Dealer and see if you can be one of the lucky 400. I understand they all take trade-ins, wear your colors (or in this case drive them) and of course “Go Cowboys”.
