DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda 3
DreamWorks is best known for its star-studded and eminent production of modern day films that appeal to a vast audience. The tale of a band of high hitting kung-fu driven warriors and a goofy, likable Panda might seem familiar to most as the furious five and Po. The ridiculously adorable panda, Po, and his skillful warriors return to screens with DreamWorks Kung Fu Panda 3, the third sequel to one of the most successful DreamWorks animated franchise. Kungfu Panda 2 left audiences in uncertainty over Po’s origins dropping hints of his father still being alive in some distant Panda sanctuary.
Kungfu Panda 3 comes in to follow up on this story. It conveys of a journey full of adventure and self-discovery that traces back to Po’s original ancestries, way before ending up with Mr. Ping, his adopted dad. The third installment promises to be one of the best one yet with some of the most striking, fluid motion graphics and a vivid, colorful portrayal of China.
The story follows Li-Shan, Po’s biological father(voiced by Brian Cranston) who passes through Po’s village in a quest to find his son and unwittingly stumbles upon Po. The clumsy duo, at first, don’t see the resemblance, even though everyone else gets it, but eventually come to the realization that Li-Shan is Po’s actual father. As would be expected, Po’s dad is pretty huge and as hungry and clumsy as the son, turns out genes do indeed pass on. After finding his real father, Po and Li-Shan then embark on a journey to an out of sight panda paradise where audiences are introduced to a whole new cast of hilarious panda characters.
In Kung Fu Panda 3, audiences are also introduced to Kai, a supernatural evil bull with the chi of every kungfu master in the spirit realm. Kai is set on a path of destruction, sweeping across China and crushing all kung fu masters and those in his way. He arrives to dethrone Po from his pedestal of greatness and claim his name as the top dog. Po is then faced with the challenge of training a whole village full of clumsy fun loving Pandas kungfu to take on Kai.
DreamWorks Kungfu Panda 3 will leave you in stitches as you try to follow up this epic tale full of witty jokes and colorful characters. It features a rich casting of accredited actors that include J.K. Simmons, Jackie Chan, Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, Jack Black, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Kate Hudson, David Cross, Randall Duk Kim and James Hong. Jack Black does an excellent job portraying Po as the charming, huggable character we have all come to love. The third installment is the biggest adventure yet for Po and is bound to attract a cultic following among fans.
The sequel is expected to launch in January 29th in 3D.
