This post was created in partnership with Citi®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Citi Every Step of the Way

2014 Winter Olympics & Me

This year I have kept a close eye on the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi Russia. We find the whole family huddled around the TV in the evening to watch the prime time airing. So far we have enjoyed the speed skating and figure skating portions of the Winter Olympics.

Along with the games and competitions , it is interesting watching some of the documentaries of some of the athletes. It is wonder to see how they have had their ups and downs, on the road to the Winter Olympics. One of the most encouraging things to see, is that major companies step in and help with donations.

Citi Every Step of the Way Program

Nine U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Nine programs in need. A $500,000 donation from Citi, and you help decide where it goes with just a click.

Watch the video to see how you can help with the Citi Every Step of the Way® Program!

I laid my dad to rest today. Although our relati I laid my dad to rest today.

Although our relationship has been strained over the past 14 years, he was still my dad.

He instilled values in me that I have carried into adulthood and continue to pass down to my family.

He showed me how to care for and appreciate my wife in such a way that she knows I love her.

He taught me life lessons that I have been able to teach my own children.

I wish we could have had a more meaningful relationship so that he (and my mom) could have experienced my life, my family, with me, but I’m grateful for the time we had.

He’ll always be my dad and that seems like enough right now.
