I enjoy taking photos both for my work and for creating family memories. However, I am not as skilled as I would like to be with a camera. My photos are sometimes out of focus. Often there is too much light and sometimes not enough. Setting the shutter speed and using the flash appropriately gets a little confusing. These things can be frustrating for me. I think it is time to take a refresher course.
Best Buy Photography Workshop to the Rescue
Best Buy is once again offering photography workshops in various US cities to help the beginner learn the basics and the intermediate camera buff to brush up on skills and learn some of the newer camera features. Here is a quick video to introduce the workshops.
The newest Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours are for those who already know the basics of photography. These will be held in Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City and Minneapolis on July 28th. These are half-day classes where you’ll get the chance to work with professional photographers and Camera Experience Shop experts. You will have the opportunity to participate in 4 individual photo shoots. You will also get to try out an array of lenses and accessories. Lunch will be served and at the end of the day you will get a bag of camera goodies. If you want to share your photos on social media with the #BestBuyPhotoWorkshops you will be entered to win Best Buy gift cards or a dream photography package. The events cost $50.
There are also free In-Store Photography Workshops for Beginners. These are 2 hour sessions where you will learn the basics of photography and will have 1 on 1 interaction with Best Buy’s Camera Experience Shop Experts. Once you have the basics down, take the next step into the upcoming Best Buy Photography Workshop Tours on October 20th and January 19th. You can sign-up to be notified when these go live for registration in the fall and winter.
These events are made possible thanks to Best Buy’s Camera Experience Shop. The in-store shops are specialty camera stores with expert help who go through intensive photography training and are all photo enthusiasts. Best Buy has an expanded assortment of cameras, lenses, and accessories that you aren’t likely to find anywhere else. The hands-on experience with the equipment and interaction with the experts is essential to finding the right camera and accessories for your photography needs.
