In 2021, Lexus has expanded its ES family of cars. One of these cars is the new 2021 ES 250 AWD sedan. I had the pleasure of driving this car for a full week. It is sporty, powerful, handles well, and is extremely comfortable.

Sporty Design

The ES 250 has a distinctive and imposing front grille and bumper with signature badging. The car sits low to the ground while still having an adequately sized wheelbase. The available panorama glass roof allows for plenty of natural daylight into the cabin.

Power

With the assistance of all-wheel-drive, the 2.5-liter L4 engine powers through conditions when traction is low. This allows for better acceleration with less tire slip. The 203 horsepower engine, along with the improved traction of the 2021 ES 250 AWD, enable the car to accelerate and still maintain an estimated fuel rating of 28 combined MPG.

Lexus ES 250 All-Wheel Handling

The 2021 Lexus ES 250 AWD is the first all-wheel-drive vehicle in the ES series lineup. It brings with it increased confidence when driving in inclement weather, such as pouring rain or icy snow. The ES 250 can easily transition from asphalt to gravel, with all four tires able to make full contact with the surface conditions. The car remains grounded, and traction is maintained while the rear wheels are maneuvering around turns. This is what I liked most about the ES 250 AWD.

Interior Details

The interior is masterfully designed with impeccable craftsmanship. The space is roomy and comfortable with enhanced bolstered seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The large 12.3 inch, high-resolution, split-screen, multimedia display provides access to state-of-the-art entertainment, navigation, and climate control.

Bottom Line – Lexus ES 250

I really couldn’t find much to complain about while loaning this car, if anything. It is good-looking, assertive, and sleek. The torque of the smaller ES engine combined with the power of all four wheels gave me a sense of control and stability.

It was refreshing to drive a sedan that is designed and built to handle a variety of terrains. If you want more information, check out the 2021 Lexus ES 250 All-Wheel Drive on the Lexus ES website.
