When Do You Feel Like You Have the Most Laundry?

I’m sharing #Tide in my life as part of a Tide sponsored series for Socialstars™

Doing laundry is like second nature for me anymore. With 5 kids, it seems like we do a lot of laundry. In fact, I am sure we do. It is easy with the high efficiency, large capacity machines now. I do remember a time when I had to wait for the water to fill up the tub about 1/3, add powdered detergent and let it dissolve, and then I could put the clothes in. It was kind of a pain standing over the machine waiting. And, I had to remember to add the fabric softener.

Those days are gone, thankfully. I don’t really mind doing the laundry that much now. Well, except for folding. I can usually get my girls to help with that.

We seem to accumulate lots of laundry in the spring. While winters are relatively mild here in Texas, we seem to spend a little less time outdoors. Spring is when we are all pumped to get back outside. We like to hike with our dog, move the classroom outside, and tend to the yard. Much of homeschooling involves hands-on experiences within our natural environment. I encourage the kids to really be one with the earth. Yup, that means they get dirty. We all do.

I do wear jeans a lot. But, the girls wear more delicate clothing. I used to be a little over the top with separating everything into lights, darks, delicates, and bulky. With the new machine technology and Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® laundry detergent I really don’t worry as much if things accidentally get mixed up. The 4-in-1 technology in each pod cleans, brightens, gets stains out, and softens fabrics.

Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® laundry detergent is gentle enough for my girls’ clothing and strong enough to clean my jeans. The Downy makes everything feel soft and smelling great. Downy Fabric Protect conditions all types of fabrics without damaging them.

Tide PODS® HE Turbo technology gives us 6x the cleaning power of regular or budget brand detergents* in half the time. The pods just seem to work really well in our high-efficiency machine. I’ll use 2 pods for really large loads. It doesn’t matter if I use hot or cold water. More Detail can be found on the Tide’s website.

*(Stain removal of 1 Tide PODS® pac vs. 6 doses of leading budget brand liquid detergent is variable).

When my older kids are home from college, it is possible to do multiple loads of laundry in a single day. I was throwing money away using budget brands of detergent, plus a separate fabric softener, and dryer sheets. It was more work, and the clothes weren’t getting as clean or as conditioned. I am so glad we switched to Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy®. Even the kids can safely do the laundry with these convenient pods. They just have to remember to toss the pod in before the clothes go in. It is a learning curve we can deal with.
