I know kids can have the most creative imagination, and can come up with some crazy ideas. Trust me, my kids have crazy ideas all the time. But, sometimes its those crazy ideas that spark real possibilities in the world. Like taking recyclable products and using them again and again for multiple proposes.
Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (TM), the Japanese auto manufacturer, believes that young minds can contribute extraordinary ideas for the future of mobility. On May 29, the automobile giant started its eighthDream Car Contest, which invites kids to share automobile designs that can have a sustainable impact on the environment.
To spur the participants’ creativity, the company is showcasing the submissions of the contest on social media for the first time in 10 years. Toyota has partnered with the creative agency, Saatchi & Saatchi Fallon, to create six-second videos for 90 submissions, one of which is featured on the campaign’s Vine profile every day. The campaign has already acquired participation from 660,000 kids aged between 4-15 years from over 75 countries, and will run for 90 days until the end of August. The finalists of the competition will get a chance to attend the prestigious award ceremony in Japan.
